All of the dreamy wedding outfits, latest jewelry, fascinating hairstyle, and flawless makeup is not enough to make your dream day memorable one. Apart from them, your wedding footwear has the power to change the game, so choose it smartly to ensure you’ll be both stylish and comfortable at the same time on your wedding day.

Brides often make mistakes while selecting the perfect wedding footwear. We understand you have several to-dos to take care of but unless you select the right wedding footwear, there are chances that you end up your day with sore feet and it becomes difficult for you to keep flaunt an effortless smile in your post-wedding functions.

Brides often wonder which pair of shoes is perfect for their big day! Should I wear comfortable flat wedding shoes, mid heel sandals or the dream silver diamante shoes? I just can’t make a choice! - such thoughts keep buzzing in the heads of soon-to-be brides.

As a designer, we get asked plenty of times about how to choose a wedding shoe.

Of course, choosing a wedding shoe is not an easy task. So we decided to share some professional tips for our would-be brides on choosing their wedding footwear through our blog.

Before you throw down your card on any counter, here are a few tips to pick up the perfect pair.

1. Always buy early

Whatever your priorities may be, our first golden rule is don’t wait until the eleventh hour. Create a collection of images of the wedding shoe style that you love. This way, you will have something at the back of your mind when you will head to buy your bridal footwear.

If you are planning to buy shoes online, it would be better to order early as sizes can run out fast; especially if it’s handmade. So, it's always a good idea to get bridal shoes early.

It's better if you get it before your wedding dress fitting, so you’ll be able to wear it to ensure it matches your wedding dress.

2. Consider your venue style

What is the venue for your wedding? A garden? A ballroom? A barn? A church? An outdoor wedding? Point being, your shoe choice must depend on your wedding location.

Consider the venue where you are having your wedding while choosing the wedding shoe.

Comfortable flat wedding shoes work better with garden terrain. If you want to carry some heels, mid heel sandals would suit the uneven surface.

3. Don’t forget to prioritize comfort

We always focus on fashionable shoes rather than comfortable wear. But what's the point of having them when you need to take them off to enjoy yourself, as your feet are in so much pain?

If you are a girl who feels confident with a 4-inch stiletto, keep your style and go for a high heeled silver diamante shoes for your big day.

If you are a girl who loves to wear sneakers or sandals, stick to flat wedding footwear. We don’t advise you to try to a new height on your wedding day as all eyes will be on you. If heels will suit more on your outfit, consider mid heel sandals to get the desired look in your comfort zone.

4. Choose one that complements your bridal style

You want to go for a pair of shoes that will complement your wedding style.

For that, look for the similar elements in your wedding shoes as of your wedding dress. Whether it’s a dress with little blue detailed embroidery, elegant rhinestone embroidery or classic lace; so it matches your style and taste. Ensure it won’t get a total mix match.

5. It should make you feel special

It's your wedding day and you need to be on the seventh cloud. Choose a bridal shoe that will make you feel awesome! Even though your dress is floor-length, still you want the shower compliments with your guests on an occasional peak.

Choose a wedding shoe that will stand out and feel like a princess on your special day. Choose one which looks adorable both in pictures and in real life.
